Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Winifred's English Pub. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train and supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure they are equipped to prepare and cook a wide range of dishes.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience for our customers.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets and special functions.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and equipped to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Recruit and train new staff members to ensure that our kitchen team is well-equipped to meet the demands of our customers.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Or equivalent experience.
