We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Team Lead to join our team at Blooming Garden Chinese Cuisine.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain inventory levels, manage stock orders, and optimize kitchen supplies.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to plan menus, develop recipes, and implement new ideas.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and improve delivery times.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior kitchen role or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with a track record of success in improving team performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • A deep understanding of kitchen operations, including food safety, inventory management, and supplier relations.
