We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Artisan to join our team at Ontario Inc. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take on a leadership role in our kitchen and contribute to the success of our business.
Job SummaryThe Executive Pastry Artisan will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods in our restaurants. This includes leading a team of pastry cooks, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, and ensuring that all products meet our company's expectations.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will have a passion for baking and a commitment to excellence in everything they do.
Responsibilities- Led a team of pastry cooks in the preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods;
- Maintained high standards of quality and presentation in all products;
- Developed and implemented new recipes and menu items to increase sales and customer satisfaction;
- Managed inventory and controlled costs to ensure profitability;
- Coordinated with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events and promotions;
- Provided excellent customer service and responded to customer complaints in a timely and professional manner;
- Worked effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high volume demands;
- Collaborated with chefs and other culinary professionals to develop and implement new ideas and concepts;
- Degree or diploma in baking and pastry arts or related field;
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting;
- Proven track record of leadership and management experience;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Physical stamina to withstand the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment;
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation procedures;
- Certifications such as HACCP or Food Safety Management.
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including dental and health care plans, bonus structure, and free parking available.
