About the Opportunity

The Mastercard Foundation is seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Partner to support the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate budget and forecast figures for review by senior management and provide data to support the Foundation's multi-year financial planning.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare Finance and Accounting materials for Board meetings, review financial figures from other teams, and analyze year-to-date results to prepare management reports for the senior leadership team, including variance analysis.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for internal and external purposes and support systems-related projects.
  • Act as a finance business partner to certain internal functions, collaborating with leaders and staff to provide financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, coding, contracting, and other financial decision-making and analysis.
  • Develop policies and procedures and provide training as needed.

Requirements

  • CPA/CA designation with a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to identify, simplify, build/improve, and implement processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge, ability to apply appropriate accounting treatments and understanding of the CRA regulatory environment for not-for-profit organizations.
  • Innovative and able to formulate new or creative approaches to problems, with strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • French language and/or local language skills are an added advantage.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
