Schlegel Villages is seeking a highly motivated and caring Recreation Team Member to join our Long-Term Care Team in Burlington, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional resident-centered care and creating a positive, supportive environment for our residents and their families.
About the Role:
- Enrolled in or completed a diploma or degree in Recreation/Leisure Studies and/or Gerontology from a community college or university
- Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members
- Experience facilitating group activities and programs (an asset but not required)
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
- Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual's health
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques, and opportunities to improve resident's well-being and holistic health
