Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Canada Inc. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations;
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles while ensuring cargo safety and security;
  • Maintaining accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption;
  • Performing regular vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and safety;
  • Relaying information to central dispatch and communicating effectively with customers and colleagues;

Requirements:

  • A valid DZ class license;
  • Experience with GPS navigation equipment and ability to navigate through different routes efficiently;
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment with overtime required occasionally;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
  • Physical stamina to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and traveling overnight;
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada and adapt to changing work schedules;
