Job Summary:

The Radiology Imaging Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographs and computed tomography images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. This role requires technical competence in radiographic, fluoroscopic, and computed tomography techniques, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing radiographs and computed tomography images with accountability to storing images and recording them as required.
  • Assisting the Radiologist in the performance of procedures and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintaining technical competence in accordance with CMRITO guidelines and C.A.M.R.T. requirements.
  • Rotating into other radiographic modalities as required.
  • Completing other related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Medical Radiation Sciences program.
  • CMRITO license.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiographic, fluoroscopic, and computed tomography techniques.
  • Proven ability to use X-Ray, CT, and Fluoroscopy equipment to provide high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Proven effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations.
  • Must be able to work all shifts on short notice and take stand-by call.
  • CAMRT membership, preferred.
  • Satisfactory performance record.
