Exciting Opportunity for a Cyber Security Professional

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cyber Security Professional to lead our Vulnerability Management team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Technology and Operations platform, you will play a vital role in shaping our organization's security strategy.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Agile Scrum or Project Management, with a proven track record of planning, leading, and delivering complex changes. You will be responsible for integrating Infrastructure and Application vulnerability management across RBC and subsidiaries, as well as developing innovative solutions and intelligence strategies to ensure our vulnerability and compliance capabilities remain relevant and prepared for the changing threat landscape.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong prioritization and collaboration skills, as well as excellent consultancy/advisory, facilitation, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. You will work closely with diverse stakeholders, including technology teams and suppliers, on complex projects.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess industry-relevant qualifications and certifications in cyber security, such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, or GCIH. Experience with application vulnerability assessment concepts, reporting, and scanning tools (e.g., Aqua, Snyk, Wiz, Prisma, Bright) is also desirable.

This is a full-time salaried position offering a competitive compensation package, including bonuses and flexible benefits. The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, based on national averages and taking into account the location in Toronto, Canada.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the integration of Infrastructure and Application vulnerability management across RBC and subsidiaries.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions and intelligence strategies to ensure RBC's vulnerability and compliance capabilities remain relevant and prepared for the changing threat landscape.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to plan, manage, and execute complex projects.
  • Conduct proactive triage and assessment activities of security-related vulnerabilities that pose a significant threat to the organization.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Agile Scrum or Project Management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of cyber security domains.
  • Industry-relevant qualifications and certifications in cyber security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, or GCIH).
  • Experience with application vulnerability assessment concepts, reporting, and scanning tools (e.g., Aqua, Snyk, Wiz, Prisma, Bright).
