Senior Truck Operations Specialist

At ONTARIO INC, we are seeking a skilled Transportation Logistics Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials. Your primary duties will include operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle. Additionally, you will be required to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as oversee all aspects of the vehicle. This is a green job that involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
- Task Requirements:
- Mountain driving expertise
- Professionalism in customer service
- Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Pay and receive payments for goods
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
