Job Title: Senior Accounting Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Professional to join our team at Fed Finance Canada. As a Senior Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for preparing and filing Canadian personal and corporate tax returns, as well as compiling financial statements for investment holding companies, small Canadian operating consulting companies, trusts, and charitable foundations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and file T1 personal tax, T2 corporation tax, T3 intervivos trust and estate tax returns, and T5 summaries & supplementary forms
* Calculate Capital Dividend Account (CDA) balances, General Rate Income Pool (GRIP) Balances, and Eligible and Non-eligible Refundable Dividend Tax on Hand (RDTOH) balances
* Prepare and file T3010 Charity Returns and GST/HST returns
* Prepare and file T1135 foreign income verification disclosures
* Prepare and file standard corporation minutes and resolutions
* Prepare and file T4 summary and supplementary forms, including payroll calculations, records of employment, and remittance of at-source deductions
* Calculate tax estimates and annual tax instalments and coordinate remittances to respective governments
* Review Notices of Assessment and respond to government Requests for Information (RFI)

Requirements:

* Strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP and Canadian taxation
* Full-cycle Canadian accounting experience
* Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Excel (MACROS) and MS Outlook, VBA is an asset
* Experienced with accounting and tax software applications: Tax Prep (T1, T2, T3) and Caseware
* Experience with QuickBooks and Write-up preferable
* Proven ability to analyze problems coupled with strong oral and written communication skills, capable of producing clear reports, letters, and emails
* Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and manage projects to timely completion
* Self-starter and team player, able to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-focused environment
* Fluency in the English and French languages, both verbal and written
* CPA designation possessing a minimum of 4+ years' experience in full accounting cycle
* Public accounting experience including the preparation of Canadian personal/corporate tax returns and the compilation of Financial Statements
