Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fisheries Processor to join our team at Independent Fisheries Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for processing and packaging fish and seafood products to meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport fish and seafood to the work area and check products for defects
  • Operate machines to can, bag, box, or package fish and seafood products
  • Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
  • Sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
  • Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Work Environment

As a Fisheries Processor, you will work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to cold, wet, and damp conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
