Woodworking Specialist

R.A.M CONTRACTING LTD is seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. Your expertise will be essential in building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to instruct apprentices, estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
We are looking for a reliable and efficient individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who can work well under tight deadlines and handle heavy loads. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
- Instruct apprentices
- Estimate costs and materials
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
