We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to build foundations, install floor beams, and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
- Survey building locations and levels
- Instruct apprentices and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate and Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and outdoors environments
