Job Title: Regional Director, Resources and Industry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our resources and industry team in the Abitibi region. As Regional Director, you will play a key role in implementing our strategic plan and supporting the management of operations in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining and energy, with a proven track record of leadership and business development. You will be responsible for monitoring local business opportunities, liaising with stakeholders, and participating in business development strategies and activities with customers in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in personnel management of the Abitibi region
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the region
  • Monitor local business opportunities and liaise with stakeholders
  • Participate in business development strategies and activities with customers in the region
  • Actively participate in the follow-up of the firm's projects with local clients
  • Maintain business relations with existing clients and develop business relations with new clients
  • Represent CIMA+ in the city's business and socio-economic development activities
  • Project management, including production of deliverables

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in mechanical, industrial, electrical or civil engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, experience with a consulting engineering firm an asset
  • Knowledge of the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sector
  • Significant network of contacts in the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sectors
  • Experience with P&L responsibilities
  • Licenced Professional Engineer
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, business acumen
  • Expertise in team management and mobilizing leadership
  • Expertise in business development and operations management
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure
  • Recognized expertise in engineering project management and relevant experience in construction, planning and estimating
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and judgment
  • Acts ethically and demonstrates a high capacity for collaboration
