Senior Technical Artist Role Overview

The Senior Technical Artist (Sr. TA) develops pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations used by content creators from our FIFA/FC team. Reporting to our Senior Technical Art Director, they partner with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions. Key areas of responsibility include development of content production tools, pipelines, asset optimization/integration, and workflows. Sr. TAs are expected to assume ownership over any technical issues that arise on their projects and bring them to resolution.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Developing pipelines, workflows, and technology innovations for content creators.
  • Partnering with development teams to build shared and scalable solutions.
  • Ownership of technical issues and bringing them to resolution.
  • At least 6+ years of cinematic/games production experience.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
  • Effective communication with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers.
  • Proficient scripting/programming in Python or C# (C++ is a bonus but not required).
  • Experience with 2D/3D art packages such as Maya, Photoshop, Houdini.
  • A solutions-provider, especially as it pertains to testing and debugging technical issues.
  • Experience with asset optimization challenges/techniques.
  • A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems to resolve technical challenges and limitations.

Benefits and Compensation

Base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
$133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
