Labor Law Expert Wanted for Nova Scotia Health

We are seeking a seasoned Labor Lawyer to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a corporate resource, you will provide sound legal advice, advocacy, and representation in labor law matters.
Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex problems, provide strategic direction, and interpret collective agreements. You will work closely with senior leaders to understand the strategic direction, values, and operational needs of our organization.
You will provide assessment and advice on grievances, act as legal counsel at labor arbitrations, and represent us before the Labour Board and occasionally the courts.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in labor law, preferably with expertise in client relations, collective bargaining, essential services, labor arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution.
Experience in administrative law, employment law, human rights law, or privacy law is considered an asset. A background in health sector and/or public sector labor relations would also be beneficial.
In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary range of $51.14 - $63.92 per hour. Our benefits package includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
