About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Summit Squad in Calgary, Canada. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for creating innovative machine learning models that enhance player experiences and drive business growth.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning engineering, with experience in developing, deploying, and training machine learning models. They will also possess excellent programming skills in C++, Java, Scala, or Python, as well as knowledge of current software development practices such as unit testing, TDD, source control, CI/CD, and deployment automation.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about games and have a deep understanding of the gaming industry. They will also have experience working in a scrum/agile environment and be familiar with big data tools like Tableau, Oracle BI, etc. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is required.

In this role, you will work closely with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that improve player engagement, retention, and revenue. You will also collaborate with game designers, producers, and artists to ensure seamless integration of ML features into our games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and train machine learning models for player behavior analysis, personalization, adaptive gameplay, etc.
  • Collect and preprocess data to ensure quality and suitability for analysis.
  • Integrate machine learning models into our game engine and ensure compatibility with mobile platforms.
  • Develop algorithms that dynamically adjust game difficulty, challenges, or rewards based on player performance and progression.
  • Optimize machine learning models for real-time inference on mobile devices, considering resource constraints like processing power and memory.
  • Write clear, scalable, maintainable, and well-structured code and participate in peer code reviews.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of professional experience in C++ programming.
  • Experience using machine learning libraries or platforms, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Shark, Keras, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, or MLLib for production or commercial products.
  • Extensive knowledge of machine learning practices, including AI monitoring, pipeline orchestration, etc.
  • Experience with big data tools like Tableau, Oracle BI, etc.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
What We Offer
