Cvent, Inc., a leader in the events management industry, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead to spearhead its globally distributed SRE team. As a trusted advisor to senior management stakeholders and a driving force behind the company's SRE program, you will set the direction for your team and contribute to shaping the overall technology strategy.

This role requires a seasoned professional with 3+ years of experience leading site reliability and performance in large-scale, high-traffic environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of SRE concepts and the DevOps culture. With a focus on leveraging software engineering tools, methodologies, and concepts, this individual will lead complex technical projects and manage a team of SREs. Additionally, they will be responsible for building a culture of excellence in site reliability and automation, operating application server fleets in reliable, secure, and cost-effective ways, and fostering a learning and ownership culture within the team and the larger organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set the direction and strategy for the SRE team and contribute to the overall technology strategy
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management stakeholders across development and cloud operations
  • Build a culture of excellence in site reliability and automation
  • Manage complex technical projects and a team of SREs
  • Operate application server fleets in reliable, secure, and cost-effective ways
  • Foster a learning and ownership culture within the team and the larger organization

In exchange for your expertise and leadership, Cvent offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
