As the Financial Services Assistant - Accounts and Utilities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity of the Town's utility and accounts receivable functions.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team, with a strong background in accounting and finance. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all utility and general accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate processing, timely payments, and compliance with provincial and municipal regulations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues, to resolve account-related issues and provide exceptional customer service. You will also be responsible for generating reports, maintaining records, and analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Key Responsibilities:**

  • Process and manage all utility and general accounts receivable transactions
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including account balances, payment history, and transaction details
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving account-related issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, administration, and customer service

**Requirements:**

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Benefits:**

  • A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
