Medical Laboratory Technologist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at IWK Health in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Diagnostic Services & Maritime Medical Genetics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures, including venous and capillary blood collection, specimen processing, and testing using advanced equipment such as Clinical Chemistry analyzers and Hematology instruments. You will also be involved in packaging and referral of specimens, as well as issuing and testing blood and blood components.
Requirements- Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or Bachelor of Science (BSc) with appropriate major required.
- Licensed with NSCMLT required.
- Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to on-going training or professional development.
- Competencies in other languages an asset.
