Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Ed Sobkowich Greenhouses. As a Greenhouse Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greenhouse Maintenance: Clean and maintain the greenhouse environment, including pruning, weeding, and fertilizing plants.
  • Plant Care: Water, tend to, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings, as well as pot and re-pot plants as needed.
  • Soil Preparation: Mix and prepare soils for optimal plant growth.
  • Task Assistance: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and report signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Hours: 32 to 55 hours per week.
  • Work Term: Seasonal.
