Job Summary:

The Fairmont Gold Supervisor is a key member of our hotel team, responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless experience for our discerning guests. As a supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of service professionals to provide warm, anticipated service and exceed the needs and expectations of our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of service professionals to provide exceptional guest service and exceed guest expectations.
  • Ensure the arrival and departure experience of all guests is seamless through coordination of our market mix and VIPs.
  • Review all Fairmont Gold reservations to ensure accuracy and that all standards are met.
  • Ensure all guest issues are tracked and followed up on to ensure service recovery.
  • Perform all front desk duties, including accurately posting all charges, assisting with check-in and check-out procedures, auditing, and reporting.
  • Set up and break down all food and beverage presentations in the lounge, including breakfast, coffee and tea service, bar service, and canapés.
  • Have knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
  • Assist guests with food and beverage menu items and provide exceptional concierge information about local and area attractions, restaurants, theaters, special events, tickets, and other available services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of previous front desk supervisory experience in a large hotel preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Micros-Opera PROPERTY Manager, Word, and Excel.
  • Previous working experience in Royal Service and/or dealing with guest recovery with excellent recovery.
  • Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program an asset.
  • Highly organized, innovative, and results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required.
  • Solutions-oriented, strong interpersonal skills, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team and focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
