About the Role:

The Government of British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer to join its team. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for providing analytical and programming support to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of corporate, wholesale, and retail business applications, as well as complex enterprise integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain corporate, wholesale, and retail business applications
  • Develop complex enterprise integration solutions
  • Provide analytical and programming support to the BC Liquor Distribution Branch

Requirements:

  • 6 years of recent, related experience in software development
  • Experience with agile software development using C# or Java
  • Experience with web application development tools such as Angular 2 or higher, React.js, and/or Node.js
  • Experience with Application Servers such as Wildfly, Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss
  • Experience with Bootstrap, Spring, and/or Hibernate development
  • Experience in SOAP or RESTful APIs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SOA Web Services
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Certifications Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Developer Associate
  • Experience with scripting languages e.g., C, C++, Perl, Shell, Python, Ruby scripting, SQL, XML, YAML
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for build and deployment of services and components using Azure DevOps (preferred) or Jenkins
  • Experience with PL/SQL (functions, packages, procedures, triggers, views, etc.)
  • Experience in managing GIT or GITHUB or SVN source controls
