Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team at Randstad Canada. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, leading safety initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in EHS programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Lead and close action items from hazard assessments and safety reviews.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain records on waste management, air emissions, and water quality.
  • Review EHS KPIs to identify improvement areas.
  • Support permit submissions and prepare regulatory reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement by recommending best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections.
  • Assist in EHS training development and delivery.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
  • Submit regulatory environmental and safety reports.
  • Manage hazardous materials handling and disposal.
  • Support sustainability and waste reduction programs.
  • Develop a Green Team to reduce environmental impact.
Requirements:
  • 1–5 years of experience in an EHS-related role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • EHS designation (e.g., EP, CRSP, AE, CET) is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Experience with the Environmental Protection Act and Ontario health and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Experience with employee wellness programs and health promotion activities.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
