Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Closing the Gap Healthcare. As a key member of our rehabilitation services, you will play a crucial role in delivering care to children with rehabilitation needs in our School-based Rehabilitation Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care through virtual and in-person visits, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Offer short-term consultation, training, and intervention services for specific rehabilitation needs, assessing and treating pediatric clients with various requirements such as speech sound delays and disorders, motor speech challenges, stuttering, and voice disorders.

Requirements:

  • A highly energetic and collaborative individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies applicable to practice.
  • A knowledge of principles of reflective practice, with a focus on safety, accountability, and organization.
  • An ability to multitask conflicting priorities, communicate effectively both verbally and written, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario, as well as a valid G2/G driving license and access to a reliable insured vehicle.
