High-Paying Automotive Repair Technician Position

AutoCanada: We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team in London.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician who is well-organized and has excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance work efficiently and accurately, meeting dealership and OEM standards.
- Communicate effectively with Parts and Service Advisors to manage production, cycle times, and customer communication.
- Conduct multi-point inspections to recommend repairs, ensuring safety and reliability of vehicles.
- Document all work performed on the vehicle RO, creating a story in the associated repair order, consistent with OEM standards.
- Maintain inventory of common automotive tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
- Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as required.
- Provide an exceptional repair experience to drive customer loyalty and department revenue.
Requirements:
- A provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate (310S), completed or in process.
- Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
- Completion of a related post-secondary program and/or training courses.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and a safe driving history.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Work Environment:
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment subject to changing temperatures.
- Regular exposure to fumes, dust/dirt, oil, grease, and noise from equipment operation.
- Work around and operate machinery and other motorized equipment, including operation of motor vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Manipulating hands and fingers to operate specialized tools and equipment.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, turning, and twisting to reach vehicle parts.
- Occasional carrying, pushing, or pulling boxes and vehicle repair equipment to facilitate repairs.
- Clarity of vision at varying distances in various color shades to observe diagnostic instruments and manuals.
- Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner.
