Your RoleTo be successful in this role, you will bring a wealth of experience leading projects and demonstrate a portfolio varying in scope and complexity with depth in project delivery focusing on building and facility projects with a focus on telecom projects. Ideally, you will have experience working as an owner's representative or in a professional services environment in a range of sectors.
Responsibilities- Develop strong client relationships and act as the client's single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client's strategic goals and aspirations.
- Lead program of work and large capital telecom projects, varying in size, scope, and complexity.
- Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client's best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues.
- Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
- Regularly report on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records, and other reports.
- Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates, and other contract or project-related administrative documents.
- Oversee the control of project-related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Project Leader, representing owners in the delivery of telecom infrastructure projects.
- A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
- Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models, and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law, and relevant legislation.
- Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies.
- Effective leadership and organization skills, matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues.
- A proven track record of delivering projects from the concept development stage straight through to occupancy and warranty reviews.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English.
- Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word), and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.
- ASP card.
- P. Eng. or PMP designation would be an asset, other designations are welcome.
