Business Growth Strategist

This full-time, permanent position offers job stability as we look ahead to build ships for decades to come. You will be responsible for contributing to growing our business by finding new opportunities in target market segments and then developing and leading the capture strategy and plans for those opportunities.
- Lead activities to find and develop opportunities both with new potential customers and with existing customers.
- Provide leadership to capture teams and proposal teams.
- Maintain key business development contacts with current and potential customers.
- Develop, maintain and implement full capture strategies and plans for each approved opportunity.
- Build and lead capture teams and proposal teams as required for each approved opportunity.
You will interface with other departments and teams in the Shipyards organization to achieve objectives in a manner aligned with overall priorities, strategies and processes.
What We Offer- A competitive salary range of $169,800 - $203,800, depending on your experience and location.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in government procurement markets. Key qualifications include:
- 7+ years of industry experience advancing complex new business development strategies and bid proposals in the shipbuilding industry or in a complex defence, aerospace or systems development, manufacturing or construction industry.
- University degree in a relevant area preferred.
- Broad understanding of technical, programmatic, financial and commercial aspects of complex deals.
- Experience leading and closing complex opportunities with contract values over $5M and ideally over $50M.
