Our company has experienced unprecedented growth, and we are seeking an exceptional Senior Forensic Structural / Building Science Engineer to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Identify the root cause of structural and building science related failures;
- Provide practical and reasonable solutions for repair or restoration of failed structures, utilizing sound judgment and fundamental theory;
- Communicate complex solutions to clients through technical specifications, drawings, and reporting;
- Demonstrate exceptional effort to excel and succeed in the role.
Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive design, analysis, and review of existing structures;
- Evaluate and assess building enclosures for failure, deficiency, and performance;
- Perform thorough causal and forensic evaluation of impaired building systems;
- Collect detailed and accurate field notes documenting site conditions, including photography;
- Generate and review working drawings, incorporating BIMs (Building Information Modeling) and design, as required;
- Prepare detailed and thorough reports, including recommendations for restoration or analysis measures;
- Maintain effective communication with management, clients, contractors, homeowners, facility maintenance personnel, consultants, city/building officials, and other project-related personnel;
- Lead, supervise, and mentor junior staff members;
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:

- Hold a Master's degree in Structural Engineering and possess P.Eng. designation;
- Possess knowledge of building science principles, including formal education, would be considered an asset;
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering principles and theory, and the ability to apply this knowledge to solve unique design scenarios and remedy field issues;
- Have experience with structural wood, steel, and concrete design, including proficiency in associated structural design software;
- Be capable of writing detailed technical reports using proper punctuation and suitable language;
- Possess excellent verbal English communication skills;
- Display discipline, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Be confident, responsible, dependable, punctual, realistic, positive, flexible, and efficient;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
- Ability to prioritize workload requirements and meet deadlines;
- Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to drive to sites within 3 hours of the GTA region;

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, plus potential bonus structure based on performance, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
