About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Dietitian, providing expert nutrition advice and care to patients and clients. As a member of our Nutrition and Food Services team, you will be responsible for providing leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients, including the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition and medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process.

You will participate in the Dietetic Practicum and Internship program, including preceptoring and mentoring Dietetic Students. As a Dietitian, you will be accountable for employing an evidence-informed approach to practice and contributing to client care through collaboration with healthcare team providers, sharing nutrition expertise, ensuring quality and continuity of care, and supporting a range of healthcare services.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian who possesses a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized University and a Dietetic Internship Program. You should be currently registered (or eligible) with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists and have a minimum of one year of working experience as a Dietitian. Inpatient clinical nutrition experience is an asset, as is competency in dysphagia management, enteral and parenteral nutrition. You should also have experience counselling patients and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications.
