Salary: The base compensation range for this role starts at $72,000 Canadian.
About the Job:
This is a challenging and rewarding role that will require you to develop and coordinate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and collaborate with site leadership to help meet site EHS objectives. You will be responsible for investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions, as well as coaching all levels of personnel on critical skills, behaviors, and techniques that build and sustain an EHS culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, update, and deploy EHS procedures and training programs to reduce risk and maintain compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Work collaboratively to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Coach all levels of personnel on critical skills, behaviors, and techniques that build and sustain an EHS culture.
- Assist in environmental compliance with applicable regulatory standards (ECCC, MECP, CCOHS, OHSA, MLITSD, etc.).
- Monitor, measure, and communicate EHS performance and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field, as well as 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing facility. You should have strong technical writing skills, including experience with development of procedures, plans, hazard analyses, and training presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint is also essential.
