Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Worker to join our team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Quesnel. This is a permanent, 30-hour per week opportunity that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role
  • This role will involve providing support to children and youth in our community, focusing on education, experience, and personal growth.
  • You will be working closely with our clients to identify their needs and develop personalized plans to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure successful outcomes.
  2. Assess client needs and create individualized plans to promote education, employment, and life skills development.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to provide wraparound services and support for clients.
  4. Maintain accurate records and reports as required by funders and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as social work, child and youth care, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children and youth, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with a commitment to promoting positive outcomes.
What We Offer
