Chief Operations Officer

Thiara Construction and Logistics is seeking a highly experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead our logistics and supply chain management efforts. As COO, you will be responsible for authorizing and organizing the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
- Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
- Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
- Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
- Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
- Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities
We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, with English as the primary language of communication.
