Job Title: Senior Manager Labour Relations

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Labour Relations to join our team at General Motors. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading labour relations efforts, negotiating collective agreements, and providing strategic guidance on labour-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead labour relations efforts, including negotiating collective agreements and resolving labour disputes.
  • Provide strategic guidance on labour-related matters, including employment standards and labour relations legislation.
  • Develop and implement labour relations strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective labour relations practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with labour relations legislation and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive labour relations experience, and employee relations experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and work to plan.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with provincial employment standards and labour relations legislation.
  • Skill and proficiency in a wide range of HR practice areas and systems.
  • Experience leading collective bargaining, negotiations, contract administration, and interpretation is required.
