Job Summary

The Vehicle Registration Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with registration and licensing regulations for new vehicles in the US and Puerto Rico. This role performs accounting and analytical tasks to support registration and permit compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Registration: Independently apply advanced vehicle registration skills and analytical research to perform vehicle and licensing compliance for new unit registrations, manufacturer statement of origin (MSO) processing, and licensing assignment and distribution.
  • Accounting and Analysis: Perform accounting responsibilities including ledger analysis, preparing account reconciliations and journal vouchers, and reporting compilation and analysis activities to support licensing, titling, permits, fines and citations, and federal heavy use tax.
  • Problem-Solving and Quality Control: Solve complex compliance issues related to the quality control of MSO documents and odometer statements and identify root cause issues to problems providing process solutions to management and suppliers to address matters in procuring vehicle license plate and registration.
  • Guidance and Expertise: Provide guidance in standard and non-standard processes acting as a subject matter expert to Ryder MSO Coordinators and members of the Ryder Licensing team.
  • Financial Data and Process Coordination: Maintain and enhance financial data and process coordination of licensing and title workflow activities between multiple data sources and the Licensing Team.
Additional Responsibilities
  • May lend support to lower-level coordinators and associates.
  • May develop documentation and user manuals.
  • May function as a team lead, providing guidance to lower-level employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
