Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Groves Memorial Community Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, adhering to the standards of nursing practice and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • Current Ontario RN Certificate of Competence.
  • BScN is an asset.
  • Membership in RNAO and CNA is an asset.
  • Current BCLS.
  • More OB.
  • ACLS or willingness to obtain within months.
  • Maternal Child Course or relevant clinical experience for exemption.
  • NRP.
  • Cardiac monitoring skills (ECG application & interpretation, cardiac arrhythmia interpretation) or commitment to obtain within months.
  • Competent to start IV or commitment to obtain within months.
  • Competent in phlebotomy or commitment to obtain within months.
  • Certified for defibrillation or competent in months.
  • TNCC recommended.
  • ENPC/PALS recommended.
  • Ability to work in all areas of the hospital.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function as an effective team member.
  • Ability to assume a leadership/charge role.
  • Commitment to continuing education and willingness to participate in departmental educational activities.
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance required.
  • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date.
  • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment including providing proof of full COVID vaccination prior to being hired.
