Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and build data engineering solutions using Databricks and other data integration technologies.
  • Develop and implement enterprise ETL standards and design and develop ETL specifications and mappings.
  • Design integration solutions that fit within the enterprise's larger data integration strategy or initiative.
  • Identify and design any transformations or conversions required to maximize data consistency and usability.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior members of the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics and 6 or more years of experience in the Data Engineering area.
  • Experience in scripting languages, data transformation and aggregation tools, and data analysis, data interrogation, or data profiling.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms/technologies, Big Data tools, and ETL technologies.
  • Strong SQL and stored procedure skills.
  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.
