About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a key role in promoting health and preventing disease in our communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the health and well-being of our communities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community organizations to provide emergency health care planning and response
  • Provide education and support to individuals and communities on health-related topics
  • Conduct health assessments and provide health advice to individuals and communities

Requirements:

  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in health promotion and emergency health care planning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
