Executive Chef for Sushi Restaurant

The Executive Chef role at Sushi Hon is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced chef to join our team. As the head of culinary operations, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and creating innovative sushi dishes that delight our customers.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with 2 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Japanese cuisine and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be expected to work closely with the sous chef and other kitchen staff to plan menus, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and implement new menu items, including sushi rolls and other Japanese-inspired dishes.
- Lead the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and high-quality food output.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service and promote the restaurant's brand.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, reduce waste, and increase profitability.
- 2 years of experience as a senior chef or equivalent in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, cooking techniques, and presentation styles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
