About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Pride Bodies Ltd., a Wabtec Company, as a Metal Fabrication Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to metal fabrication, including cutting, punching, and drilling materials accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and follow instructions to complete tasks within given deadlines
  • Apply safe automotive/manufacturing work practices at all times
  • Read and understand shop drawings to enable independent work
  • Cut, punch, and drill material accurately and efficiently
  • Deburr/sand all sharp edges to minimize cleanup for the next operation
  • Stack parts for easy access and label both parts and skids/containers correctly
  • Assist operations in the fabricating area as needed
Requirements
  • High School/GED diploma required
  • Able to maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Able to work safely at all times, checking for hazards before starting any task
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Able to read a tape measure correctly
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
