Salary InformationThe salary for this position ranges from $2,996.37 to $3,709.66 bi-weekly, in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees Professional Support Group Collective Agreement.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled School Psychologist to join our team as a Resident in Psychology. In this role, you will work under the clinical supervision of a psychologist, providing professional psychological services to support student learning and mental health.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Consultation with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to define problems and identify interventions.
- Direct student intervention on a short-term basis, including individual assessments and development of intervention plans.
- Participation in the development of preventive and crisis response programs.
As a Resident in Psychology, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment. With increasing experience, your responsibilities will become more complex and varied, and you will be expected to exercise independent judgment.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology.
- An interim membership in the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick.
- Successful completion of course work in school psychology, applied behaviour analysis, child and adolescent development, and child and adolescent exceptionalities.
You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
