Salary
The estimated salary for this position is CAD $46.67/Hr., based on industry standards and the location.
Job Description
As a Critical Care Nurse with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill clients attached to life-support equipment and those in post-anaesthetic recovery.
You will enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family, consult, confer, and collaborate with other healthcare givers, demonstrate expertise and leadership in nursing practice, maintain and advance clinical competence, and participate on designated hospital committees/teams and approved research projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or two years' recent, related critical care experience.
Additionally, you should possess broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client/family centred model of care, BCCNM standards for nursing practice, thorough knowledge of anaesthetic and other drugs used in critical care environment, and knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
