About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Services Officer to join our team at Aramark Canada Ltd. in a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Management: Develop and implement risk management plans, promote conference and meeting services or special events, and coordinate logistics.
  • Risk Management and Marketing: Develop and monitor emergency security plans, create marketing and communication plans, and develop media strategies and public relations activities.
  • Hospitality and Logistics: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, prepare and present budgets, and develop financial procedures.
  • Business Development: Develop sponsorship, partnership, or fundraising programs, review bids and negotiate costs, and determine requirements for hospitality services and arrange for contracts.
  • Operations: Assist in budget preparation, assist in site selection, coordinate media services, confirm and coordinate speakers, and implement social programs.
  • Support Services: Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services, plan schedules, goals, and objectives, and develop registration systems and information materials.
  • Special Events: Research and design special events programs, plan for translation and interpretation services, and book facilities for office personnel.
  • Security and Safety: Plan for traffic and crowd control and security, plan for social events and guest programs, and develop policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
