Senior Business Development Professional

This role requires an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in selling PLM software to Fortune 1000 OEMs and their suppliers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to understand and formulate solutions based on customer needs, and be self-motivated and energetic.
Responsibilities- Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets across key Altair product platforms
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities
- Cultivate and manage new sales opportunities from initial contact to close
- Identify and introduce new solutions to existing Altair customers
- Coordinate sales activities with internal Application Engineering, Product Development, and Marketing teams
- Develop and nurture relationships with key economic and technical stakeholders
- Remain knowledgeable about Altair's new and existing software and services offerings
- Learn and understand key client needs on an ongoing basis
- Develop and customize presentations
- Manage both commercial and technical objection handling and problem resolution, including price negotiations
- Gather and share competitive information within region and accounts
- At least 3 plus years of Technical Sales experience
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
- Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status
- Self-motivated and energetic
- Ability to understand and formulate solutions based on customer needs
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory
- Ability to coordinate and work well with other sales professionals
- Technically astute and able to comprehend engineering and design challenges faced by prospective customers
- Strong work ethic, and motivated to work in a high performing, results-oriented environment
- Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
