Bilingual Automotive Fixed Ops Software Trainer Position

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Automotive Fixed Ops Software Trainer will provide support and training to new and existing customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS), in the Parts and/or Service modules of our software. This role requires frequent travel to customer sites throughout North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop an understanding of the PBS software
  • Develop an understanding of the process for training customers on the PBS software
  • Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  • Complete the payroll module – if applicable
  • Become an install resource without assistance
  • Prioritize tasks without direction from Team Leads
  • Take the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge
  • Provide excellent support to customers in our software
  • Navigate our DMS Software to assist customers
  • Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned silo and if possible other silos
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring they are being met or exceeded
  • Respond to internal and external training requests in a timely manner
  • Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise and escalate issues to the corresponding teams
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Share knowledge within own silo and others within DTO
  • Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
  • Commit to ongoing education and cross-training
  • Monitor DTO queue
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Fluent in French and English (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Experience in the parts or service area of a dealership preferred
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment or PBS is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective time management & organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking & prioritization
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month
