Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Lead will oversee and direct the picking and packing team to ensure accurate and timely shipment of orders. This role will coordinate daily warehouse operations, supervise team members, and monitor progress and accuracy of work. The successful candidate will report directly to the Service Centre Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead the picking and packing team to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including assigning and monitoring tasks, and reviewing progress and accuracy of work.
  • Ensure that items are properly labeled and identified for shipping purposes.
  • Run productivity reports to track picking efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure orders are shipped according to company standards.
  • Supervise the picking and packing area to ensure team members are working safely and efficiently, and customer orders are completed on time.
  • Process outbound shipments, including assembling and packaging materials, and verifying orders for accuracy.
  • Prepare daily shipments for invoicing, and communicate with stocking distributors and service centers.
  • Packing out customer orders, including hand-loading product onto pallets if required.
  • Data entry tasks, including creating and updating sales orders, printing picking lists, and updating and printing packing slips.
  • Drive team productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Backup for the warehouse daily stand-up meeting, including running lines shipped and received information.
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects as required.
  • Ensure priorities are actioned, and accurate timekeeping is maintained.
  • Ensure all health and safety activities are adhered to.
  • Operate PIT equipment as required.
  • Key holder for opening and closing the building.
Requirements
  • Experience in a warehouse environment in a leadership role.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Licenses for PIT equipment (Raymond Reach, Cherry Picker).
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask.
  • Lead by example, and assist the team as needed.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
  • On a continuous basis, work in a standing position, bend, and lift up to 40lbs.
  • Good communication, data entry, and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, is an asset.
  • Plumbing industry experience is a plus.
