Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team at Luther Special Care Home in Saskatoon. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing activities that enhance the holistic care of clients.

About the Role

This part-time regular position offers 18 shifts of 4 hours per 6 weeks, with an estimated salary range of $23,550 - $28,110 annually, based on Pay Band 10 and FTE 0.32. The successful candidate will have one year of experience in healthcare and Grade 12 education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide activities that enhance the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural well-being of clients;
  • Work with special needs clients, patients, and residents;
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Organizational skills.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in healthcare;
  • Grade 12 education;
  • Interpersonal skills;
  • Communication skills;
  • Ability to work with special needs clients/patients/residents;
  • Valid driver's license (where required).
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a therapeutic recreation setting with varying shift schedules. A valid driver's license is an asset for this position.
