Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our pharmacy department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are supported and empowered to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of pharmacy staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
• Responsible for the financial and operational success of the pharmacy department, including budgeting, forecasting, and inventory management
• Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
• Ensure adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patient needs, while minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels
• Counsel patients on new and additional medications, providing education and support to promote healthy outcomes
• Create awareness and educate customers through public relations initiatives, such as public health days and clinics
• Provide timely and positive resolution to patient needs and doctor requests/issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
• Obtain and review budgeted sales and net contribution, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement
• Review and control costs at all levels within the pharmacy department, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license are required
• Strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach others
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
• Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies, with a track record of success in driving growth and improvement
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to formulate and execute action plans
• Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems an asset
