Job Summary:

Modern Niagara is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shop Coordinator to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our production operations team, you will be responsible for managing schedules, materials, and ensuring smooth workflow for our piping and sheet metal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update production schedules and forecasts with guidance from forepeople and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor production lead times and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Build and maintain TSSA binders for plumbers, fitters, and refrigeration technicians.
  • Assemble fabrication packages for field installation.
  • Maintain shop material tracking logs and stored material/equipment logs.
  • Support with piping meeting minutes and production budgeting.
  • Work on production flow, metrics, and software process review.

Requirements:

  • 2-year business or technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in industrial, fabrication, or machine shops or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient computer skills and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with key contacts.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to solve problems and work independently.
