With ENGINEERINGUK, you will have the opportunity to work as a Senior Accounting Professional. This role is part of our Indigenous EASE Cloud Accounting Services team, where you will use cutting-edge technology to deliver a full suite of services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll administration.

About the Role

This position is eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, allowing you to strike a perfect balance between your personal and professional life. As a trusted advisor, you will make an impact with our clients by providing expert accounting services that cater to their unique needs.

Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for assisting with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for MNP Indigenous clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain payroll and related government remittances/filings, recording of sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) transactions.
  • Set up client files and assist with the completion of budgets and administrative planning.
  • Maintain, monitor and reconcile General Ledger (GL) accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploads.
Requirements
  • An accounting certificate or a bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration is required; an accounting, finance or management information systems (MIS) major is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of two years of bookkeeping experience is necessary for this role.
  • Experience executing accounting system implementations is highly desirable.
  • Working with Indigenous clients is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with desktop-based small business accounting packages, including QuickBooks Desktop, Sage 50, Sage 300, Xyntax, Adagio and/or other legacy desktop products, is essential.
  • Cloud-based accounting package experience is also beneficial.
